How We Rate
We use a clear, consistent methodology so you can trust our rankings and compare options fairly.
Scoring scale
We rate products and services on a scale of 0 to 10. Scores reflect our editorial assessment of overall quality, value, and fit for typical use cases. A higher score means we consider the option stronger in that category; it does not mean we are paid to rank it higher. We weigh factors such as:
- Features and capabilities
- Ease of use and onboarding
- Value for money and pricing clarity
- Reliability, support, and reputation
- How well it fits its stated use case
Weighting can vary by category (e.g. security matters more for VPNs; design matters more for resume builders). Our written reviews explain why we gave each score and who the product is best for.
How we research
We research each product using official sources, documentation, and real-world usage where possible. We consider user feedback and expert opinions from trusted outlets. We do not invent scores or copy-paste from other sites; our summaries and pros/cons reflect our own analysis. When we cannot test a product ourselves, we rely on credible, verifiable information and say so in the review where relevant.
Updates and corrections
We review and update our content periodically to reflect price changes, new features, and market shifts. If you spot an error or something that’s out of date, please contact us. We correct factual mistakes promptly. Our goal is to keep our guides accurate and useful over time.
