Our review

Shopify is the leading dedicated ecommerce platform. You build a store, manage inventory, and sell via web, mobile, and channels. Apps extend functionality and Shopify Payments can avoid extra transaction fees. Subscription plus payment processing costs apply. Abandoned cart recovery and basic marketing tools are built in. Scales from small stores to large operations.

We recommend Shopify when ecommerce is the main goal. For a simple site with a small store, Wix or Squarespace may be enough. For design control and content-heavy stores, Webflow ecommerce or WordPress with WooCommerce are alternatives.
